 Hi everybody, I am here to introduce you a new video tool to help you in your teaching adventure: Edpuzzle


 



EDpuzzle is a teaching tool used to place interactive content into pre-existing videos from a variety of sources, such as TED or YouTube, or into videos you have made. It can make lessons more fun and students would take more part in the lessons. Teachers can select videos from Youtube, TED and the other video platforms or they can upload their own recordings. Multiple choice questions, notes and open ended questions can be added to these videos and students can answer these questions on the video. Edpuzzle can be used also as a platform on which teachers can make exams.





Edpuzzle lets you;

  • Upload whatever video content you wish from many platforms.
  • Edit the video (cut, add voice or video over it).
  • Add multiple-choice, open ended questions and notes on whatever part of the video you want.
  • Bring a joyful way of learning to your class.


It is very easy to create your Edpuzzle account: You sign up to the platform and create your class then choose a video from the left sidebar showing video platforms. Then you choose a video and start forming your questions and customization on it. If you are done with edits, click the finish button and assign your video to your class. Do not forget to determine a deadline!

Storybird: Digital Book

 Hello everyone today we will look at Storybird which is a Digital Book platform. Storybird is an online social platform for storytelling. Students act as authors, pairing their words with  licensed art. Students can compose text, but they can't upload their own art; they must use Storybird's  collection in their picture books and illustrated poems. There's a 7-day free trial, but after that most features will ask for a premium account both for teachers and students. Teachers can also set up a paid classroom account that supports a number of students based on how much they pay. After signing up or logging in with teacher-provided credentials, students can read published stories or create their own. They can repost favorite stories to their own Storybird account feeds, "heart'' stories they like, and comment on them.  To get started, students choose which format they want, then browse Storybird's art collection to find illustrations that would be harmonious

 Hello everyone, I will introduce you Voki, which is a platform on which you can practice languages by creating an avatar. Voki  is an educational tool  that can be  used to  enhance instruction, engagement, and  understanding of  lesson.  Voki  can be  used in  class (for student work), as an animated presentation tool, for assignments, and as a virtually monitored discussion forum  enabling users to create their own character of speech. You can both type your text and let Voki pronounce it for you or you can record your voice and upload it.  You can customize  Voki  characters to look like historical figures, cartoons, animals and even you! Why to use Voki? It enables you create avatars. It brings comfort to students who feel anxious while speaking. It enhances the speaking thus improves speaking skills.
